The sentencing hearing of the man who murdered Karen Buckley in Glasgow is to be televised tomorrow.

Last month, 21 year old Alexander Pacteau pleaded guilty to murdering the nurse, from Mourneabbey in Co. Cork.

Mr Pacteau admitted killing the 24 year old in his car, just minutes after they were captured on CCTV cameras talking outside the Sanctuary nightclub.

Karen had been studying occupational therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Karen Buckley's disappearance last April sparked a massive manhunt, which ended when the body of the 24 year old was found in a remote farm north of Glasgow.

In August, Judge Lady Rae said she would take into account Alexander Pacteau's 'callous and calculating' actions when sentencing him.

She has been given three victim impact statements from Karen Buckley's family members, and will be given a report on Mr Pacteau.

The Buckley family, who are expected to attend the sentencing, have said they hope the 'evil killer' spends the rest of his life behind bars.
