A man has appeared in court in Wexford in connection with the seizure of cigarettes at Rosslare Europort.
23,000 cigarettes were found in a people carrier which had travelled on the ferry from France.
Assistance detector dog Alife helped find the cigarettes which were concealed in the floor of the car.
The driver - a Lithuanian man - has appealed before Wexford District Court where he was remanded in custody until Tuesday
The cigarettes were worth around 12,000 euroo and represent a potential loss to the Exchequer of 9,500 euro.
