A Dublin fireman is being hailed a hero after delivering a baby at the side of the road over the weekend.
33 year old Rob Nulty responded to the call in Lusk in north Dublin on Saturday afternoon.
An 18 year old's contractions were too close together to make it to the Rotunda Hospital in time.
Rob and his collegaue Paul McGurrell managed to get her into the back of their fire truck just in time before the baby boy was born safely.
Rob - who is normally based in Tara Street in the city centre - has been a fireman since 2008.
