Over 72 per-cent of homeowners are at risk of being overcharged on their household bills.
That's according to new research from uSwitch-dot-ie, which shows that a third of Irish consumers admit that they are unable to work out whether there has been a mistake.
Just 28 per-cent of those surveyed say they know they have not been overcharged in the past year.
It also finds that little over half of Irish adults are able to check electricity or gas bills easily for accuracy.
