Some 30,000 Alprazolam tablets have been seized at Dublin Port.

They were discovered in a consignment which arrived from Hungary.

The tablets, which are used to treat anxiety disorders, were found when officers stopped and searched a consignment labelled as 'computer chips'.

The pills, branded 'Ksalol', have an estimated retail value of €60,000.

Investigations are ongoing.
