The trial of three former Anglo Irish Bank executives has begun hearing from the Maple ten group of investors who were lent money to buy shares in the bank.
Former bank executives Sean FitzPatrick, Pat Whelan and Willie McAteer deny providing unlawful financial assistance to these customers and to the family of businessman Sean Quinn in July 2008.
Earlier, Judge Martin Nolan warned the jury about inaccurate media reporting on the trial in reference to a newspaper article which incorrectly stated that Sean FitzPatrick had attended a meeting with Sean Quinn in September that year.
