Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s died in a two vehicle collision in Co. Westmeath yesterday.

Shortly before 5pm the man was killed when his car collided with a lorry on the N52 Tyrellstown to Mullingar Road at Dalystown.

The driver of the lorry was brought to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
