Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a major crash in Dublin city centre yesterday evening.

One man is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a car at the junction of Adelaide Road and Earlsfort Terrace.

Three other pedestrians are recovering from injuries in different hospitals across the city.

The female driver of the convertible Saab is also recovering.

Gardai are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact them at Pearse St Garda Station on 01- 666-9000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda station.
