More than 4,000 workers at Apple in Cork were evacuated from three premises this morning following a security alert.

A threat was made via the Garda website at around 8 o'clock this morning and staff were evacuated from the sites at Lavitt's Quay, Hollyhill and Model Farm road at around 10 o'clock.

However it was declared a hoax around half an hour later and staff have now returned to work
