Apple is set to make its biggest ever acquisition - when it pays up to 2-point-3 billion euro for headphone giant Beats Electronics.

The move is seen as an attempt to expand Apple's product line - and win back a share of the lucrative music streaming market.

Industry observers say it's the furthest departure yet for the world's largest tech company under the leadership of CEO Tim Cook.
