Are Ireland's high taxes fuelling emigration? Ministers can't decide

There are new disagreements in the cabinet this lunchtime about whether Ireland's emigration problem could be relieved by changes to the tax system.

Tourism minister Leo Varadkar says high taxes are one of the reasons for our 'brain drain' - because high earners are taxed less elsewhere.

But LAbour leader Eamon Gilmore has dismissed the idea - and insists that job security must be the government's first concern.
