4 out of 10 parents give their children crisps, chocolate and sweets at least once a day.
And more than 7 out of 10 don't even consider them to be treats.
Research carried out by Safefood has revealed children under the age of 5 are given the most treats.

Health experts say advising parents to try to redouble their efforts to cut down on treats to help tackle childhood obesity.
