An investigation's underway after Gardai found a man armed with a knife at a city centre flat last night.
It followed reports of a burglary in progress on North Great George's Street at 11 o'clock.
Gardai say there was a brief standoff when they arrived on the scene but the man was disarmed, and no-one was injured.
The flat's residents weren't home at the time.
A 29 year old man was arrested and taken to Store Street Garda Station for questioning.
