More than 50 people are protesting outside a Cork-based facility for asylum seekers over poor conditions at the centre.
Residents at the Kinsale Road Reception and Accommodation Centre mounted a blockade outside the building and are blocking access to staff.
They are calling for the complete closure of the controversial direct provision system.
