At least 120 die in Paris terror attacks

The French President, Francois Hollande, has declared a nationwide state of emergency following a series of six coordinated terror attacks across Paris which have left at least 120 people dead.

They targeted people going to concerts, a football match and for dinner at restaurants across the French capital.

The deadliest incident was at a music venue - the Bataclan - where gunmen held audience members hostage - before blowing themselves up as police stormed the building.

There were also bomb attacks outside the national football stadium where France were playing Germany.

Cafes and bars also came under attack.

Eight terrorists were killed - seven of them in suicide attacks.

France's president Francois Hollande has promised a "merciless" response to the attacks and he says security is the country's top priority:
