Two Irish people have received non-life threatening injuries in this morning's bus crash in Spain.

It's believed that 13 people were killed in the crash near the Spanish city of Tarragona in the north-east of the country.

The bus was carrying around 50 Erasmus students when it hit a car and overturned on the main road between Barcelona and Valencia.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is standing by to provide consular assistance.
