Police in Australia have arrested a teenager they say was planning a terror attack.

Officers found explosives at the 17 year-old's home in a suburb of Melbourne.

Last month, a plot to attack a military memorial event in the city - supposedly inspired by Islamic State - was also stopped.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott made this statement overnight about the latest alleged plan.
