It's been revealed that the baby at the centre of the country's most recent abortion scandal is still in State care.
Tusla - the child and family agency - says it will continue to look after the infant for the next two months.
The mother - dubbed 'Ms Y' - refused to attend a court case to decide the child's fate during the week.
The case came to national attention during the summer after media reports claimed a suicidal teenager was refused a termination under the new Protection of Life during Preganancy Act.
The woman - who was a non-national - was forced to give birth by C-Section at 25 weeks.
There have been repeated calls for the Government to hold another Abortion Referendum as a result of the decision.
