An unusual carol service has been taking place in Dublin’s Christ Church Cathedral– for therapy dogs.
The service included a blessing of the dogs –that volunteer with the charity Peata.

The dogs visit people in retirement homes, hospices and people with intellectual disabilities.
Owners Lesley and Gino explain their dogs'Â’ effect on the residents;
Peata Chairman, John Bainbridge says they choose their dogs very carefully;

Gabrielle Gilmartin says her dog Buddy Gilmartin has been helping a new group of people in need of dog-therapy;
