The Bishop of Limerick says the proposed redefinition of marriage in the forthcoming referendum will have a profound impact on the public life and the personal lives of our citizens .
In a letter distributed today at churches across Limerick, Bishop Brendan Leahy says the planned change in the Constitution would also have implications for the role of marriage and family.
