A body has been found in Kilkee in the search for a missing Japanese couple.
The remains were located in the water off George's Head at around midday - however a formal identification has yet to take place.
A public appeal was issued to help find 63 year old Eiji Takagi and 61 year old Ushio Azaki who disappeared from their hotel in Spanish point last weekend.
Their rental car was found abandoned in Kilkee several days ago.
