It was announced last night that China is removing the restriction-opening up a market of 1.4 billion people.
The news came just a week after Irish beef returned to sale in the U.S.
Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney is also promising thousands of jobs in the dairy sector now that milk quotas will be lifted in six weeks time:
