A four year old boy has been killed in a road crash in Limerick.
The two car collision happened at Patrickswell, Lough Gur at a quarter past one this afternoon.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man who was driving the car, a female passenger and two other children were also injured.
A woman and three children who were travelling in a second car were also injured.
They're being treated at Universtiy Hospital Limerick.
The road is closed for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
