A 4-year-old boy is in a critical condition after an incident in a hotel swimming pool in Co Cork.
It happened at the Quality Hotel in Redbarn in East Cork.
The child had been swimming with his family when he got into difficulty.
Its understood a lifeguard pulled him from the water and carried out CPR before he was transferred to Cork University Hospital.
