21 have made the cut - Nigel is there - along with Frank, Katie, Vernon, Clodagh, Desmond and Tegan.

It's also hoped naming storms will help raise awareness of severe weather and ensure greater safety of the public.

I've been speaking to Head of Forecasting with Met Eireann - Gerald Fleming.

I began by asking him how much interest their was in the project:
