Man Arrested After Woman's Body Discovered In Dublin Apartment


A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery a woman's body in Dublin this morning.

The victim, who was in her 30s, was found in an apartment in the Charlestown area of Finglas.

Shortly after 6am, Gardai were called to the apartment in Charlestown Place.

There they discovered the body of a woman in her 30s. She had sustained serious knife injuries to her neck.

The body of the victim remains at the scene as garda forensically examine the apartment.

A South American man aged in his 30s, who was known to the victim, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being detained at Finglas Garda Station.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem will be conducted later today.
