Brexit will top the agenda when Taoiseach Leo Varadkar meets British Prime Minister Theresa May in Sweden today.

Mr Varadkar is expected to tell Mrs May he won't accept a hard border under any circumstances.

It will be the first time the pair have met since a document emerged from Europe suggesting the North stay in the EU after Brexit.

The Government says Mr Varadkar will emphasise the importance of upholding all aspects of the Good Friday Agreement including the power sharing institutions.

This meeting comes ahead of December's European Council meeting - which will decide whether or not to progress to the next phase of Brexit talks.

Meanwhile Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney will host the British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson in Dublin today.

They will hold official talks, with Brexit again expected to top the agenda.
