Spain has launched a new bid to take control of Gibraltar following the result of the Brexit vote.

96 per cent of voters in the British territory supported staying in the European Union.

Spain has now threatened to seal off the border with Gibraltar, something it wasn't allowed to do while both were part of the EU.

But its foreign minister has also suggested that the territory could be jointly run by both Spain and the UK - ending a dispute lasting over 300 years.
