Junior Finance Minister Brian Hayes is to announce this morning he's running in the European Elections in May.
My Hayes will contest the 3 seat Dublin constituency for FG.
He's widely expected to retain the seat held by Gay Mitchell.
Meanwhile Independent MEP Nessa Childers is to contest the Dublin constituency in the European Parliament elections in May.
She was originally elected in the East constituency in 2009 as a Labour candidate.
However she resigned from the party in July claiming dissatisfaction with the direction the party was taking in government.
Ms Childers is to launch her campaign this morning.
