A statue located close to the WB Yeates Cemetery in Sligo has been stolen.
The large bronze statue depicts a man contemplating the words of one of the poets poems.
It was located in the car park beside the cemetery and church in Drumcliffe.

Gardai believe it was taken at some point between December 14th-16th.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact Sligo Garda Station.
