Bumper numbers due at 10th Bloom

One hundred thousand visitors are expected to flock to Bloom this weekend, its tenth anniversary.

As well as gardening, the festival features a food village, music and even a farm.

Juliette Gash reports from Dublin's Phoenix Park;

As well as 23 show gardens, 50 of Ireland's top nurseries are at Bloom, as are 200 retailers where attendees will spend an average of €7m, purchasing 90 thousand plants.

Bloom also features seven post-card gardens, measuring just two by three metres.

One such entry is a sensory garden created by green-fingered students at Dunboyne Junior Primary School.

Children from Junior Infants made the garden for the class for children with Autism. The staff from these two classes have designed the garden to provide sensory therapy in an outdoor environment for all the children in the school but, of course it is most beneficial to those with sensory integration difficulties. 

Award-winning gardener Fiann O'Nuallain added a Bronze to his collection for his Zen garden;

Grow it Yourself Ireland have their biggest ever presence at Bloom, including a Food Matters stage where there'll be daily discussions, workshops and debates.

There's also a classroom for school groups.

And Tarzan might even make an appearance;
