Pictures have emerged of armed French police making a woman remove some of her clothing on a beach as part of the controversial burkini ban.
The ban outlaws the burkini, which covers the head and body.
It's over concerns about religious clothing in the wake of several terrorist attacks.
The pictures show police making a woman remove a blue tunic which was covering her head.
She also received a fine, while local people jeered the woman and told her to go home.
People have been reacting on Twitter to the ban -
#BurkiniBan is beyond satire now. Armed police force a woman to remove her clothes in public. Doesn't sound much like #liberty to me.

#BurkiniBan has nothing to do with terrorism, its small minded bigots imposing restrictions on people simply wishing to enjoy themselves.

I support #BurkiniBan, because I think the idea of a woman wearing a 'Burkini' in the heat is ridiculous. When men wear it I'll support it.

Sometimes, outrage isn't enough. #BurkiniBan #truth
