Joan Burton has defended her decision to drop Eamon Gilmore from cabinet - after the former Tånaiste said his sacking was like 'being shot at dawn'.

In the book Deputy Gilmore says his sacking - in a two-minute meeting - was like 'being court-martialled and shot at dawn'.
