Planned strike action at Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann this weekend has been called off.
It's after unions and management met at the Labour Relations Commission late into the night, in a row over the tendering of some routes at the State owned companies.
The agreement includes a commitment from the bus companies that any legacy costs from the tendering process will not be borne by workers.
Unions also got assurances on workers terms and conditions, and that there would be no compulsory transfer of staff.
Bus services will now operate as normal this Friday and Saturday and the threat of further strike action has been withdrawn.
