Talks between management and unions at Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann will resume at the Labour Relations Commission at 10am.
Discussions aimed at averting industrial action this weekend were adjourned yesterday after just over 2 and a half hours.
Drivers are due to engage in a two day strike on Friday and Saturday, in an ongoing row over plans to put 10 percent of routes out to tender.
It follows two days of strike action earlier this month.
Dermot O'Leary from the National Bus and Railworkers Union says though the issues up for debate may be complex, he is hopeful of a resolution;
