The cabinet is playing down fears that the long-awaited banking inquiry could collapse before it issues its final report.
One member of the committee says the deadline for reporting is too tight - and that a single delay could see the inquiry collapse altogether.
But ministers say the inquiry HAS been given enough time to hear from everybody it needs to.
