A new report by homeless organisation COPE says that access to social housing is the biggest issue among it's clients.

The Galway-based organisation says that the rent supplement maximum limits need to be increased to align with increasing rent prices.

They're asking local landlords to work with them to offer their properties at a lower price, that those on rent supplement can afford.

Assistant CEO of COPE Martin O'Connor says that the damage to families needs to be minimised.
