A new study's calling for more female voices on the airwaves.

Women account for only 28 per cent of voices on radio, according to a study of flagship programmes on Today FM, Newstalk and Radio 1.

The study by the National Women's Council of Ireland says stations should aim for at least 40 per cent female voices, in terms of both presenters and programme guests.
