A campaign is underway to try and reduce pedestrian road fatalities.
Since 2008 almost 2 in 5 road deaths in the Dublin region have been pedestrians.
The number of road deaths generally has come down in the capital.
But more pedestrians are losing their lives than any other category of road user.
