Dublin's victorious footballers will receive a hero's welcome at a special event in the capital this afternoon.

The Dubs retained the Sam Maguire cup for the first time since the 70's, in yesterday's thrilling clash with Mayo.

Dublin won by just a point on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-14 in a thrilling encounter at Croke Park yesterday.

Today's party will be held in Smithfield in Dublin city centre at 4.30pm.
