The head of the group trying to take over Aer Lingus says he's prepared to give a 'cast-iron gaurantee forever' over the valuable Heathrow landing slots.
Willie Walsh was speaking ahead of his appearance before the Oireachtas Transport Committee this afternoon - and said that there would be a 'very small number of job losses' in the event IAG's bid is successful.
Meanwhile, Ryanair has urged the Government to take the ‘sensible’ decision - and ensure a ‘viable future’ for the airline under a new parent.

Separately, the UK's Court of Appeal has ruled that Ryanair should reduce its shareholding in Aer Lingus. Ryanair said it would appeal the ruling;
