The government chief whip Regina Doherty is insisting her failed IT business was liquidated in accordance with company law.
Deputy Doherty says she wants to clarify the situation because of what she claims are attempts to "misrepresent" the facts.
In an article in today's Irish Independent, the Meath East TD said her company 'Enhanced Solutions' ceased trading in 2009.
The government chief whip says the company was liquidated in 2011.
She says this was done "in an orderly fashion and in accordance with company law".
