The Chinese embassy has sent a team to Essex, after 39 people were found dead in a lorry trailer.

Emergency services made the discovery on Wednesday - and say the victims are Chinese citizens.

Beijing's ambassador to the UK says their nationality can't be confirmed yet though.

Police have begun removing the 39 bodies.

Private ambulances moved the first 11 victims late last night and the first post mortems are due to take place today.

A 25 year-old Co Armagh man remains in police custody, arrested on suspicion of murder after his detention period was extended yesterday.
