Almost 10 million smuggled cigarettes have been seized at Dublin Port.
The cigarettes are said to have a retail value of almost €4.5 million.
They were discovered by Revenue officers on a vessel that had arrived from Rotterdam.
The 9.6 million smuggled cigarettes were found in a shipping container - which was said to contain "tyres" - and were uncovered using Revenue's mobile x-ray scanner.
According to Revenue, the cigarettes were 'cheap whites' branded 'Excellence'.
