Cigarettes and alcohol - worth €7,000 - have been seized in Dublin.

8,000 'NZ' brand cigarettes - which originated in Belarus - were found when revenue officers searched an apartment in Finglas.

A Lithuanian man in his 30s was questioned.

In a separate operation, Revenue seized over 300 litres of alcohol and almost 3,000 cigarettes at Dublin Port.

They were found during the search of a truck which had disembarked a ferry from Holyhead and was driven by two Polish Nationals.
