Members of the Citizens' Assembly have been making suggestions about how they want the issue of the Eighth Amendment to be dealt with.
Today was the second of eight days which the assembly is dedicating to discussion of the issue.
The group of 99 citizens has been hearing from experts in medical ethics today as part of the session.
Three further weekend sessions are scheduled to take place on the issue in early 2017.
