An American law firm says it'll pursue claims against Volkswagen on behalf of its European customers over the emissions scandal.

Lawyers at Hausfeld, a global litigation firm, have requested a meeting with the company's executives to discuss compensating customers.

Earlier this week a 3.6 billion dollar lawsuit against the company was filed by 278 of its own investors.
