There have been clashes in the Crimean city of Sevastopol, after a rally in support of Ukraine's new government.

Pro-Russian protesters used clubs to attack people guarding the rally.

The US Secretary of State John Kerry has told the Russian Foreign Minister that any moves to annex Crimea would close the door to diplomacy.
