The coalition has won a motion of confidence in itself and the Attorney General.
The Dáil voted 94 to 52 on the government's own motion which was in response to Fianna Fáil putting down a motion of no confidence in Taoiseach Enda Kenny in the wake of the Fennelly report.
Micheal Martin repeated his claim the Taoiseach sacked former garda commissioner Martin Callinan - despite Enda Kenny calling on him to withdraw such remarks.
