A bomb alert has forced the cancellation of tonight's Germany-Netherlands football match in Hannover.

Fans were evacuated from the HDI stadium and surrounding area after police received what they called "concrete information" about a bomb threat.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel along with German and Dutch cabinet ministers had been due to attend the game.
